Reference only — please read
MyResidencyHub (the “App”) provides schedules, directory entries, clinical references, lecture materials, and similar content for general reference and convenience only. This content is not official, may be incomplete or out of date, and must never be used as the sole basis for any clinical, scheduling, staffing, or other decision. Do not rely on it. Always confirm with official program records, attending physicians, institutional policy, and your own professional judgment.
1. Acceptance of these terms
By creating an account or otherwise using the App, you agree to these Terms of Use (the “Terms”) and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. About the App and the Developer
The App is a personal, non-commercial project built and maintained by an individual developer (the “Developer”) to help organize information for an Internal Medicine residency community. The Developer is not the residency program, a hospital, a healthcare provider, or any affiliated institution, and the App is not an official product of, or endorsed by, any such organization unless expressly stated. Nothing in the App creates a doctor–patient, employment, or professional relationship.
3. Reference only — no reliance
All information in the App is provided for general informational and reference purposes only. It is not professional, medical, legal, or employment advice. Schedules, on-call assignments, contact details, and clinical or educational references may contain errors, omissions, or outdated entries.
You must not rely on the App as your sole or authoritative source of information. Before acting, independently verify any information against the official source — program administration, the institution’s systems, the relevant attending or supervisor, and your own clinical judgment. You are solely responsible for decisions you make and actions you take.
4. Accounts, access codes, and roles
Access to the App requires an account and a valid access code that maps to a role. You agree to provide accurate information, to keep your credentials confidential, and not to share your account or access code with unauthorized people. You are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend or revoke access at any time, including if a shared access code is misused.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
misuse the App or interfere with its operation; attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account, data, or system; use the App to harass, impersonate, or harm others; misuse the paging or notification features; scrape, copy, or redistribute directory or schedule data outside the residency community; or use the App in violation of any law, institutional policy, or patient-privacy obligation (including HIPAA). Do not enter protected health information about patients into the App. In particular, paging messages are delivered over ordinary unencrypted email — never include patient names, room numbers, or clinical details in a page; request a callback instead.
6. Third-party services
The App depends on third-party services such as Supabase, Google, push-notification providers, and hosting infrastructure. We do not control these services and are not responsible for their availability, accuracy, or practices. Your use of them may be subject to their own terms.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
The App and all content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. The Developer does not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any information in it is accurate, complete, or current.
8. Limitation of liability — no developer liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Developer shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, missed shifts, scheduling errors, clinical outcomes, or other loss or harm arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, the App or any reliance on its content — even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Because the App is provided free of charge for reference only, you agree that the Developer’s total liability for any claim relating to the App shall not exceed one U.S. dollar ($1.00). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Developer from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of any third party.
10. Changes and availability
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the App or any feature at any time, and we may update these Terms from time to time. When we update the Terms, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the App after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state in which the Developer resides, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located there for any dispute that is not subject to other agreement.
