Important notice
MyResidencyHub (the “App”) is an informational and organizational tool for an Internal Medicine residency program. Any schedules, contacts, clinical references, lecture materials, or other content shown in the App are provided for reference and convenience only. They are not a substitute for official program records, institutional policy, or professional medical judgment, and must not be relied upon as the sole source of information for any clinical, scheduling, or staffing decision. Always verify against authoritative sources.
1. Who we are
The App is developed and maintained by an individual developer (“we,” “us,” or the “Developer”) as a personal, non-commercial project to support a residency community. The Developer is not the residency program, hospital, or any affiliated institution, and the App is not an official product of any such organization unless expressly stated. 2. Information we collect
To provide the App’s features, we collect a limited amount of information:
Account information. When you sign up, we collect your email address, a display name you choose, and — if you sign in with Google — basic profile information returned by Google (such as your name and email). Authentication is handled by our identity provider (Supabase) and, where applicable, Google.
Role and access. When you redeem a shared access code, we record the role granted to your account, which determines the features you can see and use.
Schedule and directory data. Roster, schedule, team, lecture, and contact information is sourced from spreadsheets maintained by program administrators. We process and display this data but are not its author and cannot guarantee its accuracy.
Notifications. If you enable push notifications, your browser provides a push subscription identifier that we store so we can deliver pages and alerts to your device.
Technical data. Like most web apps, our hosting and infrastructure providers may automatically log technical information such as IP address, device and browser type, and timestamps for security and reliability.
3. How we use information
We use the information above only to operate and improve the App: to authenticate you, to show you the schedules and directory entries relevant to your role, to deliver pages and notifications you request, to maintain security, and to fix problems. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
4. How information is shared
With other users. Your display name and, in some features, your contact or on-call status may be visible to other authorized users of the App so the program can function (for example, transfer lists and paging).
With service providers. We rely on third-party services — including Supabase (authentication and database), Google (sign-in and the source spreadsheets), a web-push delivery service, and our hosting provider — that process data on our behalf. Their handling of data is governed by their own privacy terms.
For legal reasons. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users and the public.
5. Data retention and security
We keep account information for as long as your account is active and as needed to operate the App. We take reasonable measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Your choices
You can update your display name in the App, disable push notifications in your browser or device settings at any time, and request deletion of your account by contacting us at imresidencyapp@gmail.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information.
7. Children's privacy
The App is intended for residency program members and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. No warranty and limitation of liability
The App and all content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Developer disclaims all liability for any loss or harm arising from your use of, or reliance on, the App or its content. Information in the App is for reference only and should never be the sole basis for any decision. See the Terms of Use for the complete disclaimer.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the App after a change means you accept the updated policy.
